Can an airport explain the essence of a city? If it can, we can predispose a few things about Salt Lake City...

"Welcome home with Honor" (sign congratulating a mormon man returning from his pilgrimmage/mission).

"Sorry hun, that's how we do things here." (Delta representative explaining to me how my luggage got lost on a direct flight from Calgary).

"Calgary? That's in Sweden, right?" (A fellow co-leader who was holding a red bull in one hand and smoking a cigarette with another).

And sigh... off we go. Haven't seen much of the city as my efforts have been concentrated on meeting my American counterparts and re-ajusting to the Backroads world down here. I do have to admit... what I have seen of the city whilst driving is lovely.

I always wanted to be considered European! Ha, ha, ha.
